Hi I am wanting to go on a study trip for my career. I’m 27 male and have been working within the youth work industry within Australia for the past 10 years.

I’ve been to the UK and seen what they have to offer and now I would like to see how services for youth are delivered within USA. I’ve worked within youth drop in services and am currently a case manager for young people within the school system. I’m very happy to work for free and pay for airfare as long as someone can put me up with accommodation but I would help out with food cost. I would be looking to stay for 1 to 2 weeks and not really fussed which part of the country your organisation is based as long as there is a major airport near by and its with youth. Places/states that I would like to based in include Texas, New York City or L.A. but as mentioned before wouldn’t really care were i ended up.

   Please check the website, http://www.volunteermatch.org, to seach areas in which you would prefer to be based. There are many organizations listed there that have short-term opportunities and would be happy to find you housing.

   Google the name of the city where you want to volunteer and also the word/s "volunteer", "volunteering" or "volunteer opportunities."
