People with work experience for a youth organization?

January 202010

I just got a clerical job for a youth counseling center and in the list of job duties it has some acroynms. TFC parent. I think it means theraputic foster care. Also email to appropriate ARC? Also does anyone know who OFMQ is?ILS issues? BLS times and recreation? DPS records for TFC family? Also aside from all these acroynms do you have any advice for me. I have never worked in a counseling center so I don’t know anything about it. I have alittle office work in my background thats it. To anyone who has worked in an office like this they know you get audited like twice a year it’s alot of work. Do you think someone with little office experience and no college education can sustain this job?

Therapeutic Foster Care seems to fit. If you don’t know these acronyms, ask someone at your work and write them down. You just got hired on, no one expects you to know everything. Just say, "Hey, I would love to do this job, but I don’t know what these abbreviations stand for." They will help you out, not fire you. You are being honest and asking for help, and your employer will appreciate that.
