Do you think Gay Youth organizations should be expanded to include asexuals?

February 32010

Or do you think they’re not a part of that, since they don’t really want to have sex with anyone? They can still fall in love the same as any gay, straight or bisexual person, the only difference is that they don’t want to have sex. (And in a lot of cases, the gender that they fall in love with is irrelevant.)

Fascinating.

Well, heck, why not? Most gay male youth, for example, have no more especially in common with lesbians and transexuals than with straight people, and yet there they all are. We’re the TOLERANT people.

I agree with Patrick; it’s not about only including the LGBTs of the world, it’s about including everyone, including the straights, including the asexuals, including the queers, the questioning, etc. It’s not an issue of LGBTs vs. the rest of the world so much as an issue of the people of tolerance vs. the people of hate, rudeness, and evil.

I basically agree with the people that have answered already.

The new gay youth organizations is more commonly known as a GSA, a Gay-Straight alliance. This has the goal of getting people of all orientation (despite the name) together in order to affect a tolerant attitude in society. I assume asexuals are chastity seeking ppl.

This is where I think it would be cool for Catholic schools to adopt modified GSA’s because where as the mission of the GSA promotes the gay lifestyle (which includes sexual acts), The modified version could most likely result in a club with a common goal. Young kids all aiming to be sexually abstinent….in some cases forever, and in other cases, until marriage.

I think it would be a cool idea (and heck, it would make my high school experience alot more comfortable) :*(

Why are you discriminating against straight kids? It’s wrong to discriminate against peoples sexual orientation. People can’t help their orientation, it’s the way they were born.
