Organizations

I am studying to a history teacher, and really want to get involved with professional organizations and attend conferences to learn more about the field. Unfortunately, my school is not very great with providing this sort of info to us, so I’m turning to you for assistance. If you have any ideas of organizations and conferences that would benefit a future teacher, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

look into the OHA or AHA, both are professional historical associations. They may require you get sponsorship for your membership from a faculty member at your school, or will require a dues fee. However, beyond that they offer all that one would expect of such an association.
