What are good teen voleentering organization in Houston Tx?

March 12010

I’ve been wanting to volunteer for quiet some time now, but it’s hard trying to find a cause worth volunteering for. Plus finding organizations is pretty confusing. So what do you guys think? Are you in an organization? What do you recommend? Thanks!
Oh. um one more thing if the orginazation you guys are recommending have a website can you send me the link i’d really appreciate it .. THANKS AGAIN!

Habitat for Humanity is an awesome program, most social funding is limited because they only help 1 family at a time,
They rely on volunteers and will always ask you to do more, the downfall is if your not 18, you cant help build, but there is so many ways to help, fund raising, public awareness, etc.
to see the family’s face, and tears, it makes it all worth it!!!!!

I would start at a local nursing home. Most elderly people can get lonely and would appreciate the visit. You could also look at the local soup kitchen or the YMCA.

I dont think they are in Houston but I know they are based out of Texas…This may seem extreme…but do it! Trust me, I did one of these volunteer trips and I made so many cool friends and it changed my life!

As widespread as cancer is becoming. Try American Cancer Society. they are in all cities. Houston has a fantastic cancer hospital.
They serve cancer victims from all over. And give financial help also.
People who help cancer patients are very nice people, so you wouldn’t have a problem working with crabby people.
    Good luck & God bless!
