My God, after 40 years meeting Mimi Farina in an interview – she and Richard have been the music I shared with my first love and lover, my God, what memories. Haven’t thought about them for decennia. Thanks so much for posting this.

Mimi is dead. I went to her memorial service in San Francisco. It was beautiful. A whole lot of music people were there of course. Joan Baez, David Crosby, lots of bay area people, Judy Collins, etc. A lovely service.

Richard = her …
Richard = her husband Richard FariƱa, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1966 on her 21st birthday.
Mimi died in July 2001 of cancer. Great losses both.

How special! FIfteen years after Celebrations for a Grey Day and she looked this great! Like Richard, we lost her too soon
