Is there any nonprofit organizations that help young teen mothers?

October 282009

Are there any nonprofit organizations in Ohio that help teen mothers in anyway they can? If there is any I would like to look into one because I have a 1 month old and possible pregnant again. Please help.
Help with maybe suppling some baby supplies or any kind of help.
I can support my baby. I get almost 600 in child support for this baby. I am just wondering if there is any and may look into one just because I want to look into one doesnt mean i have to and cant support my child!!!
Maybe I would need it. What if I ran out of money for some reason then what would I do. If I do get it I would only use it when I need it.
How am I taking it from people who do need it when I wont use it when I dont need it? I said I was only going to use it WHEN I NEEDED IT!!!!!

What kind of help do you mean???

Planned parenthood is a good start.
I know WIC is a government program that offers formula, juice, cheese and non perishable items. Ask your babies Dr. about it

—You should not have a baby you can not support. That’s mean, selfish and irresponsible!
You should have someone in your life who has taught you better.

**Then leave it for people who REALLY need it!**

I don’t even know what to tell you. Catholic Charities and the Smith Family Foundation are two of many. But honey, I’d STRONGLY suggest you consider adoption for this baby and your 1 month old. I’m not trying to hurt your feelings, but your children would be much better off adopted out. You need to get help for yourself and find some direction. You won’t be able to do the same for your children until you can take care of yourself and that won’t be happening for a long time.

You really need to learn to make better decisions and consider your own health and well-being. Getting pregnant 1 month after a delivery is wildly irresponsible. Of course, getting pregnant as a teen in the first place was also irresponsible. Babies need someone responsible to take care of them. You should be spending all your time caring for your baby right now, not making new ones. I sincerely wish you all the best and hope you don’t take this as an attack. Good luck, dear.

Your comments show just how young and ungrounded you are. IF you need charity, then you can’t take care of your child by yourself. IF you are taking charity and DON’T need it, you are stealing from those who DO need it.

Not to be mean but maybe you should look into birth control, so you will stop getting pregnant and needing nonprofit organizational help. Good luck witht he baby and possible one on the way.

Since you’re underage.. your parents still claim you as a dependant and you live with them, anything you may try to apply for will be judges on their income… plus child care.. So look into it, but this is how it is here in VA

What you don’t know is a lot of girls get pregnant to get help from the government and to get out of a house with their parents. Maybe her mother is an alcoholic? dopper?
When you have a baby you get government housing, a check to live on and food stamps. You don’t have to go to work or school.
But I found out from being an older child that taking care of babies is not that easy. And that job never ends. When your just wanting out you don’t think that far ahead. Then you get trapped into these babies give me an income and I don’t know what I would do If I worked I am dumb.
that is the same reason women stay with an abusive husband. Trapped before they know there is a way out.
It maybe a check but you are locked into a life of poverty.
Or as some have done, quit having babies and go back to school. The government will pay a baby sitter while you go to school. Go to Votech that is a fast training for a job.
But with two kids you need to stop having them before you can move forward. go to planned parenthood.
