Davperm69 I’m also a 100% disabled Vet. and I agree with you completly! I didn’t even know ppl gave donations to Disabled vet’s. Lord knows I have NEVER seen a dime of this money! Nor would I even know where to go to get it! Have you ever seen a dime of donated money to us Vets?

Donators Beware! …
Donators Beware! There are many, so called charities, that are praying on the emotions of willing Americans that want to help American Veterans. Request a copy of their Form 990. If they have a website. You can find it there. Confirm their status with the FTC, BBB, Charity Navigator. Or check with your state Attorney Generals Ofc to confirm their validity. Never give money, until you can confirm that the money for the program. Is in fact, destined for the specific purpose they are claiming.

If you want to …
If you want to donate your car. First sell it yourself on Craigslist or Ebay. Then donate the money directly to the charity. If your car does not run or its in bad shape, the “charitys” just send it to the junkyard and you get a tax write off of what the junkyard gave them. This is usually around $100 or $200.

It makes me sick to …
It makes me sick to my stomach to see this going on. I am a 70% Disabled Veteran, fighting for 100% Disability. This kind of BS is exactly the reason why people are hesitant to donate their hard earned money to charities. So sad.
