They can observe us, but since we may only observe things existing in the three-dimensional universe, we cannot observe them as a whole, thereby creating an apparition. I think money would be better spent, instead of helping them "move on", than to attempt to create a link between the two dimensions. This, in effect, will help them (and us all) to "move on".
