Any body know of a site that list legitimate charitable organizations?

March 112010

I once came across a site that listed legitimate charities. It gave operating expenses, presidents annual salary, how much actually went to the charity. Any help? Thanks.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it looks like it has a lot of the information of what you are talking about. Hope it helps. If not try "google"ing your question

The best is Give.org, which has an affiliation with the BBB.

The Charity Navigator (which was mentioned already) is a good start. Also try some of the finance magazines like Money and Kiplingers. They rate each charity by amount spent on admin vs the actual charity purposes.
