Why do liberals utilize literature from anti-american organizations as sources for their answers?

October 222009

Browsing through some of the answers in this category I often see liberals quote or reference agenda driven organizations such as moveon.org or other non-valid and unsubstantiated liberal newsletters or websites as their sources. What ever happened to factual evidence?

Those sources reflect their true values and beliefs.

I’ve only ever seen Republicans reference moveon.org. I’ve never even been to that site.

Why do some people automatically label anything that threatens their viewpoint as "anti-american" when it usually is not?

For the same reasons that conservatives cite Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter, the Heritage Foundation, etc as sources for their answers.

You mean like Repubelickings who post "facts" from FoxNews.com?

Count how many times you see "anti-American" in this thread. Good old Republican scare tactics. Agree with me, or you’re anti-American!

Your conservative buddies do the same thing…there are unintelligent,un-informed people on both sides….we all know crap when we hear it…or read it….85% of the people on here are just out to say bad things about the opposing side with no real debate or exchange of ideas….they just regurgitate the same crap over and over…I usually just ignore it.

I don’t see that at all. If you do, you should answer those questions telling them that their sources are unreliable or their information is wrong.

When you say anti-American you really mean political discourse, right? You obviously object to any criticism of our president or lawmakers. Here’s a quote that might interest you.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

I feel that you are just a slight bit biased in contributing this occurence to just the liberal side…..if you have browsed through answers than you should have also found several questions with links to purely conservative sights….is this factual evidence or opinion? Here’s the link to a conservative site that was just used today…much to my pleasure in reading!
