How do I start a junior chapter of a national community organization?

March 312010

As a high school student, I would like to start a junior chapter of a national organization (if it is possible) to serve my community. Is this possible, and what are a few things that I need to do?

Thank You!

If you have any Lions Clubs in your area or surrounding area, please get in touch with them They would love to help you start a Leo Club which is the youth organization of Lions International–the largest service club in the world. You can go to www.lionsclubs.org to get answers about the Leo program and also to find clubs in your area. What a great idea you have and keep at it.

What is the real difference bewteen the KKK and American Neo-Nazis? Why do people joins these organizations?

March 312010

Socially, both are Far Right-they primarily differ on some economic beliefs and in the direction of the groups they oppose-

I have provided the link for both. The link goes into more detail on the beliefs.

KKK
http://www.kkk.bz/program.htm

1. The recognition that America was founded as a Christian nation.
2. The recognition that America was founded as a White nation.
3. Repeal the NAFTA and GATT treaties.
4. Put America FIRST in all foreign matters
5. Stop all Foreign Aid Immediately
6. Cut off trade with countries that refuse to establish strict environmental laws.
7. Abolish ALL discriminatory affirmative action programs
8. Put American troops on our border to STOP the flood of illegal aliens
9. Abolish all anti-gun laws and encourage every adult to own a weapon
10. Actively promote love and appreciation of our unique European (White) culture
11. Outlaw the purchase of American property and industry by foreign corporations and investors.
12. Drug testing for welfare recipients
13. Repeal the Federal Reserve Act.
14. Balance the budget
15. Rehabilitate our public school system.
16. A flat income tax should be introduced to allow for the funding of community, state and federal projects.
17. Abortion should be outlawed except to save the mother’s life or in case of rape or incest.
18. We support the death penalty for those convicted of molestation and rape
19. We support a national law against the practice of homosexuality
20. We support the placing of all persons HIV positive into national hospitals
21. Restoring individual freedom to Christian America.
22. We support the voluntary repatriation of everyone not satisfied with living under White Christian rules of conduct back to the native lands of their people
23. Everyone who can work should work
24. We support a return to parental authority without government interference in the raising of our children
25. We respect the right of homeowners and that no one should ever be forced from their home for the non payment of taxes
26. We support state sovereignty resolutions
27. We advocate a strong defense department to safeguard American citizens
28. We support all U.S. veterans

Neo-Nazis

Neo-Nazi’s differ in beliefs and are not as unified as the KKK, though I will provide a link to the most prevailing group. Also an issue (and why I don’t list their beliefs) is the fact that the direct source (that is, from their own words) did not itemize their beliefs like the KKK did, though you can see what they believe in their site.

——————-

But as to why people join such groups, it is largely out of fear and or pride.

Look carefully at the links I provided. Do you notice a theme?

They fear losing their heritage and are prideful of it. However they don’t seem to concerned with the fates of other heritages (especially in the case of the Neo-Nazis).

But both have a cult like mentality, and the subject of cults is one of my most studied issues-

NonProfit Organizations in California?

March 312010

My friend was wondering who licenses and monitors nonprofit organizations in California.

The state issued ours and the IRS gives you the non-profit status. If your friend is wanting to start an NPO, email me and I’d be happy to give her a web address for the company that we went through to get ours started. They have a 100% success rate.
Good luck!

What is a specific to general organization pattern?

March 312010

I need to answer ths question in school:

What organization pattern chracterizes this paragraph?
a) Question-aswer
b) Specific to general
c) Chronologicalorder
d) Problem-solution

There’s a short paragraph that goes with this question but I’m not looking for the answer to the question so I’m not going to post it. Just looking for information regarding a "specific to general organization pattern" please? Thanks!

My third answer for you.
Take a book, for example.
Specific to general would be something like.
Reference to the specific appearance of the book: its color, dimensions, number of pages.
Then more generally: this book is about the Battle of Gettysburg.
Then perhaps a general statement about books: Books are ready by many people who seek a greater understanding of history.

Early on, details are mentioned, and as the paragraph proceeds, the statements become more and more generalized.

Another example might be people. Early on, a sentence might give details of a specific individual: sex, height, age. Then you might get a generalization that applies to ALL people: All people eat food, earn their living, etc. Here again, the paragraph moves from details applying to one specific example to generalizations applying to a larger group–of books, people, etc.

BTW, I suspect b is NOT the answer.

Where can I rent professional psychology or counseling videos?

March 312010

I am looking for videos that illustrate effective counseling techniques and other mental health topics such as those found through the American Counseling Association (ACA) website and other professional organizations. Most of these videos are a bit pricey, especially when I only plan to watch them once or twice, and I would much prefer to rent them. These are not the type of videos that are carried at blockbuster. Is there any Company that rents these types of videos?
I am also interested in viewing the old STEP (systematic training for effective parenting) videos if they are still around.

You can You Tube a lot of them. I would try this before buying them.
